£800 raised for British Heart Foundation

Many supporters lined the Omagh Streets to encourage their favourite Santa to reach the Courthouse.  The first across the finishing line was Top Nosh who proudly received the 2012 Reindeer Cup from the Council Chairman Councillor Errol Thompson in the Strule Arts Centre surrounded by very many red cheeked Santa’s who were all seen tucking into some warm mince pies.

The event raised £800 for the British Heart Foundation NorthernIrelandand proved once again to be another exciting event for Omagh town centre.

Omagh District Council would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Santa’s and businesses who participated in the SANTA DASH.

In addition to the SANTA DASH, Omagh town centre was a wonderland of Christmas entertainment including many Cartoon Characters and a Snow Queen on Stilts.

Omagh town’s shoppers and visitors enjoyed the sounds of Q101 outside broadcast throughout the day with town centre businesses availing of the opportunity to promote their shops live on air throughout the air on the Q Network.
